The Walters Art Gallery

My little brother Ryan had another local showing of one of his sculptures. This time he was invited to participate in a special night at the Walters Art Museum here in Baltimore. The kids and I love the Walters. They have an excellent preschool program and the Egyptian room is a lot of fun! Plus it's in one of my favorite neighborhoods: Mount Vernon.

So when we heard Ryan was showing there, we just had to go. Unfortunately, we went solo because Daddy was in NYC working on editing the teaser for Road to Roubaix. But I figured even though it was an evening event and we were going it alone, we could still pop in and out and be back home in time for bedtime. After all, the Walters is only a hop, skip and a jump away. Little did I realize what the evening had in store for us...

A 10 minute drive turned into an hour long snail race. We made it just in time before the gallery closed. And yet I still had to pay $8 in parking. C'est la vie I suppose.

But we did make it and we were even able to snap a couple shots with Ryan's piece. Plus we got to tour the museum (okay so it was more of a quick dash in and out of the rooms) undisturbed.

All in all it was a memorable night. And we're very proud of Uncle Ryan. Big ups!

Let's not talk about that teaser for Road to Roubaix. I get a funny feeling in my stomach when anyone mentions that.
