Yes, it's beginning to look a lot like pee-pee time. Young Jonah-lad has had his first success voiding in the potty. This is after much philosophical discussion on mine and Ellie's part about where pee and poo should go. House training the dog has helped fuel many of these chats.
Anyway on to the good stuff...This all occurred this weekend (Sunday to be specific for posterity's sake). Jonah announced to my mom that he needed to "go potty really bad." My mom took him to the potty and he tinkled. Woo hoo!! There was a potty party.
Now he hasn't gone since and I am almost positive it will be another month before he goes again. -But- this means there's a glimmer of hope that I won't have to worry about sending him off to college with a pack of Depends.

WTG, Jonah! Sage has been asking to sit on the potty: "Potty! ME! MEEE!" so I put her on and then she just sits there and looks at her "perdina" as Sawyer calls it and waits to see if something happens. It hasn't yet, but we're hopeful!
Yeah Jonah!!! The fact that he is showing some interest is a great sign. Ethan is not at all interested which is why I think we are struggling so much.
Well the moment has passed sadly :(
He hasn't wanted to sit on the potty since and no amount of talk about big boy Cars underpants or bribery has worked.
He's a stubborn boy, that one. He's the type that will just have to one day decide he's ready to go now on the potty. Ah well, it was a good run while it lasted ;)
Jen - Sawyer really got motivated when he got to stand and pee like Daddy - especially when Sawyer got to "use his firehose" and make tons of bubbles in the toilet. Maybe Jonah could try standing?

Jen, please let me know if you try the standing option and how it goes. I have thought about it with Ethan but I fear he may find it just too much fun to put out "fires" all over the bathroom lol.
