It is truly a sight to behold. The houses are decked from top to bottom in lights, animated characters music and wonderment. Honestly, I am amazed by this group of neighbors and their willingness to be ambassadors for Christmas.
Here are some pictures from our own trip to Hampden earlier this month. It was the perfect start to the holidays.

Truly is the wonder of the season!
We have a street like that near our house. Some homes have elaborate Santa's workshops, train villages, ice fishing penguins - you name it! They bring in cherry pickers and spend about a month setting it up. They have "snow blowers" that blow out soap bubbles but Sawyer couldn't get enough of dancing in the "snow!"
We are so going to that next year.
When I was little we would get into our pajamas and then my dad would drive us around to look at the neighboorhood christmas lights. It is still one of my fondest childhood memories (and the lights were no where near as impressive as the ones in your pictures;-))
One of these years we will need to travel to the US in December so the kids can see the snow and the lights - we don't really get much of either here.
