Hot, Hot, Hot!

These past couple days have been unbearably hot. Frankly, there's not much to do because it's too darn hot to go outside. We don't belong to a pool and even if we did, who wants to lug two kids (who need naps mind you) around in the heat to schlep in and out of a public pool? Actually, a cool dip in a pool sounds really good right about now!

Basically we've been doing a lot of nothing all the while trying to stay sane. Enter television. I know the American Academy of Pediatrics doesn't recommend kids watching more than two hours a day, but I don't think those doctors are stuck at home with their kids. They're too busy writing essays on all the brain rotting hundreds of kids across the world are experiencing with all that telly. Of course maybe they have a point.

Exhibit A.

Also being bound by naps in the crib has really put a crimp in our outings. Why don't my kids nap in strollers or cars like most kids? So what's a kid and his mom to do?

This leads me to Exhibit B.

Hmmmm...maybe we should try to get out a little more.

What did mommys do before TV to distract hot little monkeys?!?!? You're being a good mom not to kick them outside in the heat to "play" like some of my relatives used to do.......no damage done!
