That bad huh? I am half way through the book and am enjoying it so far. Hopefully your thoughts on the movie don't reflect what is to come in the book ;-)
I heard that the book is excellent! That's why I am shocked at how terribly awful the movie turned out to be.

wow. thanks! I was going to rent it because this mom does not have time to read anything but parenting books! (how to get your baby to sleep so you're not sleep deprived, etc.)
